Silverstone, 13 May 2018 – Ivor Dunbar and Johnny Mowlem, in the 488 GT3 of FF Corse team, totally dominated the second round of the Britcar championship at Silverstone. Car no. 5 won both races. The other two Ferraris on track picked up four second places.
Race-1. The first race, lasting 50 minutes, saw Dunbar and Mowlem start on pole and fight a tight duel with the Mercedes of Abba Racing with Richard Neary. The two cars pulled away from the pack and crossed the finish line just a second apart. The other two Ferraris in the race also finished on the podium. David Mason and Ross Wylie, in the 458 Italia GT3 of FF Corse, were second in the Class 1 Sprint, while their teammate John Seale was runner-up in the Class 2 Sprint.
Race-2. As usual, the second race combined Race-2 of the Sprint championship with the only outing of the Endurance series. The Ferraris of Mason-Wylie and John Seale were still in second place when they crossed the chequered flag after 50 minutes. However, in the endurance race, the 488 GT3 of FF Corse finished more than a lap ahead of its nearest rivals. The next round will be at Oulton Park on 23 June.
