Maranello, 13 April 2018 – The German ADAC GT championship kicks off this weekend at Orschersleben. For Ferrari, this is a welcome return to the championship after a gap of many years, with the 488 GT3 of HB Racing ready to take its place on the grid.
Drivers. The car, equipped with Maranello’s V8 turbo engine, will be crewed by Dominik Schwager, a frequent competitor in the 24 Hours Nürburgring, and Luca Ludwig, son of the great German driver Klaus. Both are making their debut at the wheel of a Ferrari.
History. Ferrari boasts over 10 wins at Oschersleben. The first dates back to 2002 when Switzerland’s Jean-Denis Deletraz and Italy’s Andrea Piccini drove the 550 Maranello of BMS Scuderia Italia to victory in the FIA GT championship. The most recent was in 2009, again in the FIA GT, when “Gimmi” Bruni and Toni Vilander triumphed in the F430 GTC of AF Corse.
