The Ferrari Challenge Europe is the oldest of the three Ferrari one-make series. The first race dates back to 1993 and since then hundreds of drivers have competed on some of the world’s most beautiful tracks.
Challenge races are always hard-fought and packed with duels. They also provide the highest levels of safety in that the championship is approved according International Automobile Federation (FIA) rules. The European series is divided into four main categories, Trofeo Pirelli, Trofeo Pirelli Am, Coppa Shell and Coppa Shell Am, based on the competitiveness of the drivers. So, there are four winners for each race, with even more of a show for fans at the circuit as well as at home, since the Europe series is broadcast in over 90 countries around the world. This also provides major potential visibility for the drivers’ sponsors.
This season, Nicklas Nielsen (Formula Racing) has already wrapped up the Trofeo Pirelli title, while Chris Froggatt (H.R. Owen) has sealed the Trofeo Pirelli Am. However, five drivers could still potentially win the Coppa Shell, with three in contention for the Coppa Shell Am.
