After earlier having been previewed by participants of the series in the recent round in Imola, the names of the circuits for the 2020 Ferrari Challenge Europe calendar have been made official. The twenty-eighth edition of the Prancing Horse single-marque series will offer the drivers of four classes – Trofeo Pirelli, Trofeo Pirelli Am, Coppa Shell and Coppa Shell Am – the chance to pit their wits against some engaging yet spectacular circuits.
The season will start in Mugello – due to hold this year’s Finali Mondiali on 24th October – in the first week of April, before heading to Portugal’s Portimao track which will hold the second round of the series from 8-10 May. June will be a hectic month with dual commitments; the first in the Czech Republic from 5-7, and the second at Germany’s Hockenheim from 19-21. The final event before the summer break is scheduled for Barcelona, Spain, where from the 17-19 July, the fifth date of the season will take place with the night race format. The 488 Challenge cars will return to do battle on the legendary Belgian Spa-Francorchamps circuit from 11-13 September, before the final double event which coincides with the Finali Mondiali, whose venue and dates will be revealed at Mugello.
