The leader of the Trofeo Pirelli standings is Louis Prette (Formula Racing), who in his third season in the Ferrari Challenge Europe, has the chance to take the title home. The 152-point tally won until now, allows the driver to head the leader board with a 12-point advantage over Niccolò Schirò (Rossocorsa), who managed to reduce the gap in the most recent round in Imola.
To date Prette has clinched 3 victories, occupying podium places on 3 further occasions (with second place in the Le Mans weekend, with its single event and higher points, having weighed heavy). The first success of the season was earned in Race-2 in Bahrain, in the first competitive weekend of 2019. To replicate the result, the driver had to wait until the fifth round at the Nuerburgring, reaffirming once again in Race-2 in Imola. The points-stash also includes 5 points picked up for 5 pole positions, plus 4 points accrued for the fastest laps registered in as many races.
One of his main weapons has certainly been consistency, as evidenced by the points picked up in each participation thus far in the competition. Also in the mix was the pole position achieved in Race-2 at Spielberg, a race that did not go ahead due to snowfall on the track.
